At Class Act, integrity comes first. We will help you shape a personal statement and CV that authentically represent who you are and the experiences you’ve acquired. This is achieved through a collaborative and iterative process that explores, evaluates, and refines your ideas.
We provide our comprehensive document development services through an efficient, asynchronous process. Your dedicated workspace allows us to exchange documents, share feedback through detailed comments, and communicate about revisions. While additional face-to-face consulting sessions are available, most clients find our document exchange system ideal for thoughtful development of their application materials. This approach allows for careful consideration of each element while accommodating varied schedules and time zones.
MyERAS CV Development & Polishing
Step 1: Initial Review & Assessment
We'll review your complete professional history, identifying key experiences and elements needed for a strong residency CV. This includes research, clinical work, volunteer activities, leadership roles, and other relevant experiences.
Step 2: 30-Minute Consultation
Meet with your consultant to discuss the overarching plan for your CV and clarify any details prior to receiving the first draft. This is a crucial part of the development process and ensures the process begins with a shared understanding of your goals.
Step 3: First Draft
Your first draft will focus on your 10 core ERAS experiences. You'll receive detailed feedback and suggestions as we develop effective descriptions of your roles and responsibilities.
Step 4: Supplemental Content Development
The next phase addresses geographic preferences, setting preferences, and meaningful experiences, hobbies, plus an impactful experience if applicable. Each element will be refined through our document exchange process.
Step 5: Revision & Polishing
Continue developing your CV through unlimited* rounds of revision requests. Each round focuses on two areas: development, which strengthens and expands your content, and polishing, which sharpens the language, structure, and formatting for a final, professional finish.
PS Full Service
Step 1: Foundation Building
Begin by completing our structured reflection guide, designed to uncover the unique experiences and insights that will shape your personal statement.
Step 2: 30-Minute Consultation
Meet with your consultant to review an outline of your personal statement, thoughtfully developed after a close reading of your PS Reflection Guide. Together, you’ll refine the direction of your story, identify key themes, and clarify the details that will bring your experiences to life in the first draft.
Step 3: First Draft
The initial draft of your personal statement aims to capture the narrative and insights discussed during your consultation while incorporating your authentic voice. Your draft may include targeted questions designed to deepen reflection and help your story continue unfolding naturally through subsequent revisions.
Step 4: Collaborative Refinement
Our document exchange process allows for multiple rounds of revision. You'll review each draft and provide input, and we'll incorporate your feedback, additional content, and requested changes until the narrative perfectly captures your voice.
*Unlimited revisions throughout your 6-week collaboration period.
